PLEASE TAKE NOTICE THAT effective January 5th, 2012, Department of Export Promotion has changed its name to Department of International Trade Promotion. This name change is initiated by Mr. Kittirat Na Ranong, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Ministry of Commerce to comply with the government policy.

We make it easier for Nordic companies to expand their business in Thailand and promote Thai-Nordic business relations.


The Office of Commercial Affairs, Royal Thai Embassy, Copenhagen, is an international trade promotion agency promoting trade between the Nordic countries (Denmark, Sweden, Finland, Norway and Iceland) and Thailand. We aim to develop and strengthen business and trade relations between these countries.

Chicken ban is lifted

 

3 April 2012

The Office of Commercial Affairs, Royal Thai Embassy to Brussels notified that the decision of the Commission to lift the ban on uncooked chicken from Thailand means that the chicken can be imported from 1 July 2012 onwards.  More details

 

 

Danish Veterinary and Food Administration: Vegetable notification

 

27 March 2012

Holy Basil (Ocimum tenuiflorum L) is now allowed to import, sell and use in Denmark according to Danish Veterinary and Food Administration announcement on 20 Feb 2012.

Nevertheless, it is not allowed to use as an ingredient in food supplement. For more information, please visit here.

 

23 January 2012

Holy Basil (Ocimum tenuiflorum L) is not suitable in Danish Market.

Danish Veterinary and Food Administration, Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Fisheries  said  in its website on 23 January 2012 that 'Holy Basil' (Ocimum tenuiflorum L) has probably caused damage to reproductive system.

Therefore, Holy Basil should not be used to a certain extent such as tea or herb. For more information, click here (1) , (2) (In Danish).
